Supreme Court hears a case that could transform the internet

1 min read
The Supreme Court is hearing oral arguments in Gonzalez v. Google,
which could be a historic rethinking of section 230 of the Communications Decency Act, and
Twitter v. Taamne, which deals with anti-terrorism sanctions. These cases could define the future
of the Internet as plaintiffs seek to hold Google and other companies accountable
for recommending terrorist content on platforms like YouTube.
But the severe narrowing of Section 230 could affect everyone from tech giants to Wikipedia editors to Reddit mods.
